Just some advice in recognizing attempts from bad sites to get you to download malware disguised as virus protection.
I recommend only a few reputable Virus Protection programs
Avast,
AVG,
Norton,

I did a complete system scan with my already installed virus protection program of choice…and there were NO SUCH viruses on my system like the FAKE popup windows had been warning me of. Had I heeded those popup warning and downloaded their supposed software, then I probably would have gotten infected!!!

I had AVG for years but their latest version didn’t mesh well with my systems but they are still reputable. Currently I use Norton with my Vistas and Avast with my XP systems and find them to be quite good.
