I was looking for free Registry Cleaner software to download to fix my Registry. And how much safe r they to download and run.
Buy a PCGamer or similar magazine (most of them in North America are published by a publisher called "Future"). While they tend to wear their "never buy any non Intel/nVidia product" bias openly on their sleeves for the world to see, they do check into the appropriate softwares and generally include them on their DVD's included with the bagged copies of their mags.
Alternatively, you can go to their site(s) and probably find appropriate links there.
Good Luck!

Free and never had any problems with it. It also gives you the chance to backup any changes you make to your registry so you can undo them if need be, something that has never happened to me after over a year using it.

I use Uniblue's RegistryBooster. Uniblue are Microsoft Gold Certified Partners, can't go wrong with this one. Recently saw a clip on YouTube too as below.

Good afternoon, I have an ASUS F3F series notebook using Windows Vista Home Premium and Service Pack 1 . Until yesterday everything was fine, then I installed “Definition Update for Windows Defender – KB915597 (Definition 1.57.619.0)” . Some minutes later I tried to use its webcam and, even though I could see the lights showing that the webcam would start, I got a blue screen saying that windows had to shut down and then it restarted. I tried to use it again and it happenned again. Then I removed the installation of the camera, and using the ASUS cd I installed it again. When I tried to use, same thing happened. This update cannot be removed. I didn’t find in internet anybody with the same problem, but I saw another guy had some problems with the same update (http://social.answers.microsoft.com/…-60a2023a117b/), but it wasn’t concerning the webcam. Would somebody please give me a hint for solving this problem? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
